Crisis Intervention
Crisis Intervention is the process of responding to emergent situations and may include; assessment, immediate stabilization and the determination of level of care in the least restrictive environment in a manner that is timely, responsive and therapeutic.
Program Objective:
- To continue accessibility of crisis intervention services during agency hours.
- To collaborate with the identified after hours provider and Community Hospitals to provide backup consultation for youth on an “after hours” basis.
- To utilize CPST providers and the nurse to assist with the coordination of discharge planning and mental health services for youth leaving a psychiatric inpatient setting and who have been referred to FRC.
- To offer mental health services, as deemed necessary, upon discharge from a psychiatric inpatient facility in order to assure continuity of care.
