Maternal Mental Health
The Maternal Mental Health Program addresses the emotional and psychological challenges new mothers face, including post-partum depression, unresolved grief or loss and other mental health disruptions. It assists them in understanding normal child social/emotional development, respond appropriately to the child’s cues, and apply parenting strategies to increase positive interactions with their child. The parents are given information regarding local resources and referred to agencies for services as needed.
