Multisystemic Therapy (MST)
Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) is an intensive family-and community-based treatment program that focuses on the entire world of chronic and violent juvenile offenders — their homes and families, schools and teachers, neighborhoods and friends. Home based services and community collaboration/support services are the focus of MST to prevent unnecessary out of home placements.
Program Objectives:
- To collaborate with the Juvenile justice system to ensure a streamlined referral and follow-up process.
- To maintain the fidelity of the MST protocols with the utilization of the Therapist Adherence Measurement tool, the Supervisor Adherence Measurement tool and the Program Implementation Review Report.
- To eliminate or greatly reduce the frequency and severity of the youth’s identified problematic behavior.
- To reduce the number of out of home placements for youth who participate in the program.
